Young terrorist's terrorist status confirmed..

..finally!

A twenty-year-old terrorist behind that big "almost attack" that happened in the GTA in the summer of 2006 has been found guilty, thank God. I can't believe that all of these kids weren't found guilty on the spot. Okay, fair trial, yadda yadda. But seriously. The judge in this case said that the evidence confirming the existence of the terrorist group the kids were affiliated with was "overwhelming."

Here's an excerpt from the NP:

.....
"Mitchell Chernovsky, the youth's lawyer, has filed a motion to stay the proceedings, arguing that Mubin Shaikh, the police agent, acted illegally and entrapped their client. The motion will be heard on Dec. 15.

If their motion is unsuccessful, Mr. Chernovsky said he would consider appealing the decision.

The young man, who cannot not be named because he was underage at the time of his alleged crimes, listened intently to the judge while resting his bearded chin in his hand; but he showed little reaction to the verdict. His mother who sat in the crowded court gallery wept upon hearing the decision.

In his closing submissions, John Neader, the Crown attorney, said the men shared a "bond to do evil."
.....

Oh good, there's our justice system at work for us. The kid shows no remorse or even a care in the world when he heard the GUILTY verdict, because he knows he can appeal it. And probably get a soft judge who will side with his minority status and the daily torment he must face because he's muslim. And while he's appealing the decision, we're paying for his three meals a day and accomodation.

The leader of the terrorist group pegged the guilty kid as the perfect candidate to behead the Prime Minister, too. Super!

Whatever, he's guilty. Good. What the hell took so long? And where the hell are the other kids who had a hand in trying (and almost succeeding) to blow us up?

This is just the tip of the iceberg. While there is a voice of reason within the islamic world, it is a small one. Where is the moral outrage of the so called 'moderate' muslim community that should be leading the way condemning these idiots. At a minimum, there should be a life sentence for this moron and his cohorts.
People had better wake up in this country. A trip to Europe might be the shock we need, so pack up and see what moderate islam has in store for you Canada.

This was a foregone conclusion. The only way they would have been found innocent is if they pulled an OJ. From day one it was obvious they were guilty as sin.

my point is that it's taken so long to actually have something done about it.

I hear ya. Unfortunately, that's the way our legal system works. Hell, it took the yanks 4 years to convict Mossaui, and the evidence against him was equally damning, plus he had plead guilty.

Western law, like our science, is excruciatingly detailed and requires painstaking adherence to pre-established procedures. It's the price we pay for having a fair and impartial legal system.

However, Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert urged Russia against selling weapons to Iran in his meetings with Russian President Dmitry Medvedev and Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov on Monday and Tuesday.
